been off of all my dmards for last four weeks due to damage being caused to my liver.
pain has been gradually increasing and now get cramp type pain in left leg, right foot and upper right back. Have emergency Rheumy appointment in 10 days but is this pain normal and just effects of reduced meds?
hi Greenmil3, I also get cramp like pains in various areas on my body. They mostly come on when I move or twist and it seems they are a reaction to being compressed or stretched. Sometimes I get them in my tummy/abdomen and they are so severe they make me hold my breath to try and get rid of them. These started a number of years ago and the frequency and severity has gone up and down over the years, but they have come back more recently. Not sure why and it doesn’t seem to be meds related, I did wonder if it was a chemical balance issue in my body, eg zinc, potassium or magnesium, or due to dehydration, but never investigated that too far!! Hope the rheumy helps!!!
Rugby (love the name!) thanks for that I too thought it was possibly hydration or deficiency but had an unrelated blood check and all was well so I will see next week if the doctor knows anything
