I never sleep through the night but wake often, probably the best I manage is waking only twice a night!

not a great sleeper I go to bed and stare at the light from outside hoping to just fall asleep sometimes I do but as soon as I get up for the toilet or whatever then I cant get back to sleep again.

It's awful isn't it Kenny kenster1

No chance of waking up feeling refreshed after a night like that. I've bought more pillows that Dreams have in their shop? I've also bought yet another bed this week, so if I don't sleep next Wednesday when it comes, I'll give up!

I have never been a good sleeper, apparently even as a child. The most sleep I get is around 4 hours, and even that is still waking up and having to get up and walk around, every hour roughly, due to arthritis in my spine

Hi Carly,

That's really poor quality sleep isn't it, you must suffer because of it and on top of your spinal pain too! I do hope you doctor can help although I know they are not keen on prescribing these days.

Take good care of yourself <3

I am a very light sleeper. I always seem to wake up either once or twice in the night to go to the toilet. It's very annoying as I feel I do not get a good night's rest. I always seem to wake up in the morning feeling tired and exhausted. This is not normal is it?

I empathise! I'm the same and I don't feel it should be this way either! I'm trying everything I can to find the solution, check out the tips on the forum and if you find a solution, please let us know <3

Thanks! I have tried listening to relaxing/chill out music which has helped me drift off to sleep. Meditating before going to bed has also helped me drift off to sleep as well! Yoga for sleep is another thing to try! :) Hope that helps! :) <3

Yes thank you! I have tried meditating and it does help in the middle of the night which is the worst time, I just hate being awake then. Yoga I haven't done for years so will look into this again, thanks for the reminder :-)

Sleeping better in the last month. Lost my husband 15 months ago , he was very sick for 18 months so sleeping for more than a couple of hours was difficult .

Now I manage 6/7 hours with a couple of trips to the loo

Since losing both parents within four months of each other last year I have not slept for a full night. No matter how tired I am, what time I go to bed, I just can’t sleep for a full night. My GP has said things will settle in time. I was a full time carer to my parents for four years with little or no sleep so it will take time to adjust to what is deemed normal “7 hours per night”. I have no problem falling off to sleep, staying asleep is another matter. For now I’m a full member of the 5am club 👍

Hi Chloe, I think our sleep patterns Arte very interesting and most of the time I sleep like a baby but I have been through bad sleeping habits and the most important thing I learnt was not to worry about being asleep and just let my body rest in bed and I soon fell back to sleep.

I feel the cold and sometimes wake up feeling so cold it spooks me (I have an autoimmune disorder) I had inflamed kidneys for over a year and used to have a recurring dream that I had been shipwrecked and was on an iceberg.

Glad you're sleeping pattern is much better and I agree, the worst thing to do is worry.

How weird is that dream? never heard anything like this Jerry.
