Dear sweetness74,
You do not say whether you are male or female, but you can certainly catch HIV even if your partner doesn't cum inside you.
Many people won't get any symptoms of catching HIV until their immune system is very low years down the line. Some will get a flu like illness 2-6 weeks after they catch it.
Best visit your local Sexual Health / GUM clinic (bashh.org/clinics) to get tested.
