Severe brittle asthma
I go to the Royal Brompton London for my Brittle Asthma, what do you mean by how do we cope exactly? Are we talking about the physical disability, managing day to day life, drug therapies or what?
I was dignosed at the royal brompton last year. Up until few years ago my asthma was totally under control and I was really fit, so I have had a total lifestyle change (I was teaching in Bangkok). I was really depressed about it but I now take every day as I comes.
I have CBA. I tend to spend most of my life organising meds, checking meds, ringing my pharmacy, visiting my local hospital to see the Respiratory Nurses and the Respiratory Consultants. I am on a (new and expensive) Drug called Xolair. I have been on it since May 2012. It works on the allergens in the bloodstream by cutting down on the allergic reaction to house mites, pet dander, aminal dung, and grass pollen etc, I had a skin prick test a few years ago at Becon Hosp. The only thing I WASN'T allergic to was Dry Rot (haha).
I do but I'm getting in control slowly of my asthma
