Is a peak flow reading of 300-350 OK. I am 60 male non smoker (but used to be)

You need height age gender and ethnicity to calculate peak flow you can find this online or you can call the helpline on 03000 030 555 if you would prefer us to calculate for you

Agree with Vicky, there are a lot of things to take into account to see what is 'right'.
A bit like sending a letter and asking how much it will cost, without saying how big the envelope is, how heavy it weights, what country it's being sent to, if it contains money (so needs to be insured) and so on.
There is a useful calculator to tell you what is 'normal' for your age, height and gender, but that does not take into account any existing lung conditions, it only says what is expected from someone matching the data it is given. That's at peakflow.com/top_nav/normal...
Always better to check these things with people who know how to interpret results, like the BLF helpline or your GP surgery.
Oh dear Gordon , I have just checked on that and mine looks a bit iffy ! It says approx 400 and i can only get 120 
That's for a 'normal' person - if your results differ then it's probably because you have a lung condition... 
If in doubt, check it out...
According to the test, mine should be 589 - At very best I blow 350's, just now it's 250-280 and that's when I'm 'rested'.
If you've done peak flow regularly with your GP or nurse you will know what your usual score is.
Give the helpline a call and have a chat with them about it, rather than have any worry.
wow 60 and a peak flow of 300 + all i can say id keep it up my was only 120 6 years ago im not sure what it is now as ive now been asked to do it for a fue year i have to do the one with the pipe in your mouth every time i go to my local hospital and if its newcastle there is some air tight booth you got to get in to do it all
My GP gave me a 'Pocket Peak', in fact I have two as there was a time where the adult one was too high a range, so he put me on the child's version. The child version measures from 80 to 400, the adult one goes up to 800. He told me to keep track of my own peak flow as that would indicate when I was having difficulties and may need my antibiotics. I know it's meant for asthma more than COPD but it works for me. I'm still maxing around 280's today.

thanks every body for your posts, this has been very helpful to me reading all the replies, when well my flow meter will reach 370-380 when not well lucky to make 280, so am feeling pretty good about those readings..thinking I might be around longer than I thought !!!! thanks again roo-roo.
I am a man of 60 diagnosed with mild copd 4 years ago never smoked I blow 550 to 600 wondering if I have copd at all had ashma most of my life though
Well done you Brinnie. However, I am 82 and until recently had much the same
reading. Find this excessively damp weather is lowering the spirometer reading and today was only just over 200. This sort of thing varies and much depends on the weather and your general state of health.
