Bronchial Thermoplasty

Has anyone had a Bronchial Thermoplasty? I have been offered this treatment but there is very little information available. I know it is a relatively new procedure, and therefore the long term effects are not really known.Can anyone help?

I haven't had the procedure, but there is information on the asthma org uk site with a contact helpline number you may want to call during normal opening hours.

i did not know about this website, it is very informative,thanks for that.My consultant has asked that I give the procedure some thought and to make a decision by my next clinic appointment in March.I will keep you informed.

Yes it a new way of treatment for asthma and looks to be pretty much successful. If you wish to know more about thermoplasty used to treat bronchial asthma you can have a look at the link shared here.
