As has been explained on here multiple times, DLA is paid according to the limitations placed on a life by disability, not for everyone who has a medical condition. If you believe you may not be claiming all of the benefits to which you are entitled. then you can ask the CAB or the BLF for benefits advice.
Auntymary

Well said auntymary qualifying and not entitled should not be confused as being the same thing as we qualify on need caused by the affects of a condition not entitlement through having any diagnosis or even multiple conditions.
There is no straight forward answer to your question, if in doubt enquire about your rights and make a claim you have nothing to lose but may be surprised at the outcome.
Hi
Jo or Carol on the BLF Helpline are the people you need to speak to - call Monday on 03000 030 555.
What have you got to loose - ask them to call you back to cut down on your call costs.
Thanks
Mark
Sorry I have no idea on this one. I get it for Osteoarthritis of the spine and FMS and other ongoing health problems, awarded indefinitley some years ago but that was before the COPD diagnoses. Sorry i cannot help xxxxx
