Well I don't know about anyone else, but all this talk of snow has made me think about warm sunny climes. To be honest, it doesn't take much for my mind to wander from reality into fantasy.

I wonder if any of you have any tips or helpful advice for traveling abroad that you could share with us. You know the type of thing, experiences good or bad with airlines, organising oxygen, insurance, hotels......

I would particularly be interested in hearing stories from unusual and non European destinations and how easy it was to arrange oxygen whilst there.

Look forward to hearing from you....

Have a good weekend all.

Biddy.

If you type in holidays in the search box, a lot of information comes up, which should be of help to people, but the main thing is that year on year nothing ever changes - it is still difficult to travel overseas if you are on oxygen.

It would be great if the BLF could, for once, fight our corner and take on those airlines that still charge for oxygen; those insurance companies who rip us off and make it impossible to travel unless you first rob a bank; oxygen companies so that acquiring oxygen overseas is not so difficult ...........

I would have thought that the BLF would have enough clout to make a difference, but maybe not

Hi I unfortunately don't know about oxygen. Nebuliser- airlines gave me extra 5kg hand luggage allowance, but if I needed it on the flight I would have to bring a battery!! Insurance- be prepared for 100questions, you will not get insured thro' the bog standard you will need specialist like Saga or other who cater for illnesses. You can reduce the amount you pay by omitting, USA,Canada,Carribean,Thailand, that's what I did. I hope you get on your holiday in the sun. Polly

Hello there...I myself try and travel when i can.. Health depending. I only deal with a company called Pure 02. They hire oxygen concentrators for short or long term rentals.... its very rare that you find a compnay that cares and can deliver such a brilliant service. I have used them about 5 times now and will caryy on each time im loking to holiday. Stress free, easy and a very perfessional company. I am a happy oxygen user when travelling .. Can anyone recommend insurance though??

Thank you
