After being awake most of last night, with coughing and upper back pain, and making sure I didn't have a nap today, I'm off to see if I'm more successful at sleeping tonight.

btw some people with bronch on the other site (which I see cofdrop has already told you about) have complained of pain between shoulder blades - they've found it can be caused by excessive coughing which has strained muscles which you don't usually use in breathing, or by costochondritis (forget what that is but you can google it)

you could always phone the BLF helpline on Monday for a general chat - they're very helpful & have lots of info at their fingertips

and the pains have eased.

Yes just been told I have costochondritis along with arthritis of the chest wall, due to coughing, it was manifesting itself as though a heart attack,

Thank you everyone, I slept well, still tossed and turned but that's normal for me. Think I will phone the advice line tomorrow re my upper back pain. Hope your all well this morning xx
