After my chest infection I thought I was finally feeling better, but I am coughing a lot and the mucus I am coughing up is opaque and discoloured with a very slight tinge of green.
I am worrying that either the infection hasn't completely cleared or is coming back.
Sorry if I seem to be worrying unduly but feeling a little paranoid at the moment because of other health issues going on.
Will phone my GP Monday and see what they say.
Anyway take care everyone.
Philip

It is a good idea to tell your doctor. By monday it will either be much better or worse. Don't make light of it to the doctor.
Hi.. I had a really bad virus.. So much mucus & since then (Dec) not improved much.2negative sputum specimens & saw con's yesterday. He says a lot of lung inflammation which takes ages to clear. He's thinking of giving me steroids.
Put a sputum sample in) maybe get a CRP blood test & see Dr. Good luck!
Hi I totally understand your worries I too have a chest infection almost a month now I think it takes a good 2/3 weeks to clear the horrid mucus. I didn’t find the expectorant helped as it’s supposed to make you cough to bring it up but really didn’t help with stomach pain through coughing. Hope you are feeling better soon. Please let us know
