Have you no reliever like Salbutamol and the green Atrovent? Fostair I take morning and night - Fostair ( corticosteroid and bronchodilator) is long acting but if you can't breath, then a reliever is IMO needed - I am not sure your circumstances but That's how I use inhalers.

When I was first given Fostair I did have some tremor in my hands for the first few weeks but it settled. I took a powder inhaler alongside it but have now been changed to Trimbow.

I was given Fostair 100 ove 60 and I had an episode of Aspergillosis. They also changed my Ventolin. I was poorly for seven weeks. I’ve now been changed back to my usual inhalers They kept telling me 100 over 6 was the same as 200 over 6. I only got ill after using it. It certainly didn’t suit me.

Hi Devon,

I was put on Forstair 100/6 2 months ago and it helped - please ask your copd nurse/gp/receptionist whoever deals with it to prescribe you the special "spacer" to go with it which makes a big difference - the spacer that goes with the Forstair inhaler is called "Volumatic Spacer Device" and comes in a big red and white box. I had never used one before but its really easy to use. Best wishes to you and hope you feel better.

It's worth a go Devon - It's definitely helped me especially with the wheezing.
