I have taken over the counter antihistamines with no problem but if you aren't sure you could check with your GP or pharmacist. The latter may be easier to speak to and would probably refer you to your doctor if they weren't able to advise you.

Hi tywy,I have been prescribed fexofenadine 120mg antihistamines by doctors and on them for 2 yrs prior to that it was zirtek.I have copd bronchiectasis and asthma

Yes, but I check with the pharmacist about the best type to buy when taking my lung problems into account.

yes my blood test showed a rise as though my body is fighting something but all other tests sputum etc showed ok but i have a lot of post nasal drip

That's annoying, best check with Dr, antihistamines might react with your other meds. I hope you get it sorted soon. All the very best tywy
