You’re on a mission Bryan.
There’s no official medical term “Borderline COPD” there used to be a Gold Stage 0 but it was scrapped due to patients not progressing to significant clinical obstructive disease. There is a lesson in this for you as your numbers are good despite what you may feel.
I can understand why a medic would use the term in situations where the patient is pushing for a diagnosis & has conflicting spirometry features such as a high FEV1 and a lower ratio (but over LLN in your case). Typically those with COPD present with an FEV1 below 80% a lower ratio than the LLN or 66 and a reduced DLCO. This does not fit your results. Remember not all smokers get clinically significant COPD, this is important given your situation.
It's the weezing when I huff out I've asked doctors and they say not copd related
