Hi new here today. After struggling to breathe for a month I was recently diagnosed with a lung infection. Possibly pleurasy after clouding showed on xray and I'm on the last day of a 7 day course of amoxicilyn 500mg but still struggling to breathe with dry cough and a blood taste in my ever so dry throat, I'm assuming it's because of the gasping for breath. Any advice would be so appreciated. I'm so miserable with it all x

Hi and welcome, any infection isn't nice, but if you feel no better after you have finished your course of antibiotics please speak to your GP. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids it really will help with your dry throat. I really hope this helps even a little, and please let us know how you are getting on. Have a lovely day and take care of yourself. Bernadettexxx

Having had pleurisy several times it may well take more than 1course of steroids. As said previously you should contact gp to say no better.
