Whilst the rest of my road were out in their gardens clapping their appreciation of the help given to us by NHS and other workers, I was struggling to pick myself up out of the fireplace covered in blood! The result of pouncing out of my recliner chair without pausing to get my balance first. 😆 Fortunately very little damage was done but I'm certainly all shookup.

I was relying on Elvis there but I don't think he wants to play. Yes I'm OK thanks Carole, just a few years ago I would just have picked myself up and walked away looking embarrassed.😉 At least I can still get to my feet without assistance. 😁😘xx

Oh for god sake Master Po i can't leave you alone for 10 mins without you disabling yourself,what happened to all that martial art training we did in the temple?you taught me how to leap over sofas and punch my way through hanging curtains,get a grip man literraly.now sit down with Midge,relax and have a cup of tea and leave all the action to Grasshopper.

At least you didn't trip over the vacuum cleaner cable as I once did, Don, and smash your head off the wall. There is still the dent above the radiator to remind me of how utterly clumsy I was, and sawdust everywhere on my just cleaned carpet!

Oh dear, Don - what a shock for you! Lots of sympathy forthcoming. Did Midge leap to your rescue or look the other way to save your blushes? Seriously, it's horrible when you have any kind of fall, and a real shock to the system, so I hope you've calmed yourself down and have been relaxing today.
I understand we're going to be doing the whole clapping/NHS appreciation thing next Thursday too. Can I suggest you get yourself ready in plenty of time (Wednesday? 
) and pounce more slowly?

I think I'll put a chair in the front garden on Wednesday so that I don't miss it. 😉 Midge was keen to lick the blood up. I think I've been living with a cannibal all these years!😮

Awe Don that must have given you a bit of a shock, just remember to take it a little slower when your getting out of the chair. Glad not to much damage was done, you take care.

but so sad you missed the feelgood/solidarity aspect of the clapping. hope that HOUND DOG (is midge a hound dog?) can make up for what you missed.

Not had an open fire for a long time, I miss it and it would have widened my choice of applicable songs as you pointed out. Midge is a Jack Russell who thinks she's a hound dog.
aah, singing in front of an open fire would be a very cheering thing right now. although i suspect that hound dog of yours would join in and deafen us all.
