Has anyone been diagnosed with PAH by echo alone ( no RA catheter)

Hi,

Over the years my mPaP has been increasing but my doctors seem to be ignoring it. A few years ago I asked my consultant and he said matter of factly, “you have pulmonary fibrosis “! After picking my chin from the floor, I further questioned him on the diagnosis and what evidence he had to back it up. Clinical judgement and my lung function tests were his response.

I then had a high resolution CT scan which took less than a minute ...I found this strange, only to be told there wasn’t any fibrosis. Since then, my pulmonary artery pressure has been increasing and is now 27mmHg and it is still being ignored by the pulmonologist and cardiologist.

Should I be asking for a right sided catheter or treatment?
