Just happened to come across your post, my other half is a plumber and he said any problems in the future go on check a trade, trustatrader.com or my builder as they go by ratings and usually honest prices. Too many conmen out there, I don’t know how they sleep at night.

You should write to your local paper, name and shame him, that £665 he charged you he’ll lose in future custom if you do.
