Hey Ho! Stopped the Pred after 5 day course! Good feeling didn’t last back down again I’m going to ask Dr if I can take a maintenance amount

I’d also be interested in knowing what the criteria is for taking a maintenance dose of Predislone as opposed to taking a weeks supply when needed and what the effects are from people’s experiences of both.

I cannot recall where, but I did read that steroids, which I believe prednisone is, are not good for persons with IPF. I will try to research where I read that. Hope that you are feeling better. J

Feel fabulous when taking them but feel god awful when you stop! So am going to ask about a maintenance dose

I don’t know what your diagnosis is but would urge you to think carefully about long term steroids. You probably know that they can have serious side effects and once you are dependent on them you cannot stop without a prolonged, gradual withdrawal. Steroids can make people feel better but have little effect on lung function. They tend to work better on asthmatics who are usually reversible to them.
