Breathing is normal for anyone who doesn't have COPD etc. I never thought about it just breathed in and out. Now with Severe COPD I sometimes forget to Breathe and have to concentrate when out and about. I manage great and am not on oxygen or anything and I can do almost everything be it at a slower pace. I just find I am constantly thinking about my breathing and if I don't I can get out of breath which can sometimes lead to horrific panic attacks. I am a talkative lady so would be better if I didn't talk when walking π€£. Just wish I could breathe normally without having to dwell on it .If I don't think about it I just climb the stairs in one but if I think first I end up going up slowly step by step and holding my breath. It's all mind over matter and hopefully I'm getting there. I must remember Smell the roses and slowly blow out the candle. Easy .π

Identifying with you a bit, garshe. Before I was diagnosed with COPD in 2015, I noticed I used to forget to breathe in after I had breathed out. Very strange.
