Hi does anyone else suffer from heavy arms and legs when your lungs are sticky and breathless?

Yes, it's because what oxygen is getting into the system, is being used to keep vital organs running, not the long muscles. Time to take it easy when you get like that.

Thank you, I was thinking just being a lightweight and to get on with it

Thank you so much! I’ve been looking for an answer to this question for ages and what you’ve said makes so much sense! I too get heavy arms and legs and knew it had to be something to do with my COPD, usually when I haven’t been well. All I can do is rest when it happens but always felt guilty because it felt like I was being lazy.

Yes! I didn’t realise that it was anything to do with my lungs, but sometimes I feel as if I’m wading through treacle, and my legs feel like I’ve got heavy weight attached to them. Don’t know what the answer is though, just keep plodding along I suppose.

It is strange how weather affects us with lung conditions. Thanks for your reply
