Thought I would share my attempt to get fit with you in case you would like to try it.
EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE OVER 50.
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.
With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can.
Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.
Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.
Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 50-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.
(I'm at this level.)
After you feel confident at that level, try it with a potato in each bag.

Oh so YOU are “at that level” good one! You did make me laugh😂😂🤣 thanks. That would be great but like many here the first line: stand up in a comfortable position, in itself might be challenging. Do let me know when you’re able to hold a 5lb sack in each hand with your arms parallel to floor for a whole minute. Cuz then I’ll call you Superman or Wonder Woman whichever you prefer👍
On a serious note you could try doing it with a small water bottle in each hand and work your way up from there. And by the way Jane Fonda IS my hero! Good luck
At least you can 'Get Out Of Bed', maybe Wash, Shave, Eat.....That sort of 'thing'. The next step is to 'Walk'- it, sort of, means Putting one foot IN Front of the other. Watch Young Children, they 'Sort Of' Show You. Practice this until you can Get To The Loo, on time, for a change! (Saves on the washing)
Please let us know how you 'Get On' John....
Kindest Wishes

Those thick, paper potato bags really are a challenge! 🥵😂😂
