Does anyone know how i can stop wheezing it’s so annoying just like you are whistling up from your chest duff

I had the same problem until a few months ago when i was put on a powder inhaler called incruse ellipta 55 (look it up) I had been wheezing for a long time and was driving me mad mostly when laying down in bed at night and just thought it was my copd getting worse but after about 3 weeks on this new inhaler my wheezing had stopped.

Also i can see that it was maybe 5-6 months ago when you stopped smoking so might be your lungs are still clearing from when you smoked.

Thank you music it’s approximately six months ago since I stopped smoking this might be the issue so I will persevere for a little longer and see what happens duff

Hi Duff1953, I find that my chest wheezes most when I havent totally cleared the mucus from my lungs. I have a facial streamer that I sometimes use with a bit of vicks to loosen things up a bit. Must admit since I have been using a Seteride inhaler things have improved, perhaps ask for a review of your inhaler x

I too have wheezing but it seems to come and go. I would certainly ask for your inhalers to be reviewed.

I fund a hot drink a quick remedy. I had similar problems when I first stopped smoking, hopefully it will pass. My wheezing woke me up one night, I thought the cat had got into bed with me!
