Suffering from pleurisy so painful history of bronchiectasis had bottom lobe removed 10 years ago pain in my back right under ribs

Sorry you are having a hard time with things currently Solo123, Hope you have your emergency meds for the lung crackles /infection. What has your doctor advised for everything?

Basically on antibiotics steroids and controlled painkillers never had chest infection with so much pain in back. Total agony said if doesn't improve will have be admitted for ct scan

That's good to hear you have the meds to help. I suspect its the Pleurisy that is causing you the most pain. Do keep in touch with your doc, don't wait if things are not improving. the CT scan is no problem. Should things deteriorate don't hesitate to call emergency, let the paramedics decide, or phone the 111 service.

Thank you I see how pain is tmorow if still same may speak to docter just worrys me with my history with bronchiectasis

Ct scan with contrast would be best I think to get a an in-depth look at your lungs and check for clots at the same time.i would push for that. Cx
