I'd like to know how they cleaned the soil and what happened to the run- off created by the misting system. Sounds a bit funny to me.

Thinking about it; what at first glance would appear to be a nightmare job, in actuality it would seem to have been a dream come true for the contractor. Unless I've misread it, there was no massive muck- shift, with all the " environmental " controls etc, etc, no tipper hire and the costs involved, just a bit of " seen to be done," and Bob's your uncle. I could be wrong, however, but I fail to see how they could've priced it up to cover all possible eventualities- legal, environmental etc.

If it wasn't going off- site in wagons, where was it going? Into the " box cut ", a pseudo- technical term for digging it up at one end of the site, moving it to the other and burying it. No surprise that they left the factory facade up.

As to misting was 4 h site and am sure winds counter act any misting really.
