Hi everyone I'm 70 and just joined a gym it took ages but I can now do lots more havnt had a cold for a year and keep walking I was getting worse but after 2 deaths in my family decided I would fight back I can now walk up the stairs I k ow my lungs are getting worse but I am making them stronger as well So we will see who wins

I am sorry to hear about your loss.

Exercising helps all round, physically and mentally. I feel better too although it is initially an effort..

The way to go 😊 well done, the more you do the more you CAN do. The power of exercise cannot be underestimated. Watch your weight if you are of light build, and I would recommend a high protein diet to build muscle strength.

Hello Lynnrmary and thank you for your intro. Its always good to know a little about one another,all in due time,so please make sure you come back and get to know us all !! So sorry to hear you've had such sad times but you seem to have grabbed exercise by its "horns" and have certainly given yourself a terrific boost. Well done for that....something I'm putting off doing,but know how important exercise is for us- both mentally and physically.
