I was diagnosed in November last year. Been a roller coaster since. Received treatment which was effective for the aspergillosis, but had really bad effect on adrenals. Have limited knowledge, but happy to share what I've learnt.

Can i ask what treatment you received. My hubby got diagnosed last year but only gave 3 months of steroids. Now very poorly and completely exhausted and cant work. He is 48 . I am beyond fed up !!

hi jayne, I remember talking to you about this before. I believe that your husband also has bronchiectasis. It sounds as though neither condition is being treated effectively. Anti fungals, not steroids are the front line treatment for aspergilla reaction. At the QE in Bham they treat with oral and inhaled antifungals. Your husband needs to see a consultant as a matter of urgency, preferably a bronchiectasis specialist who can go through everything. GPs and general respiratory consultants are not up to this. Find a Bronch specialist in your area, usually at a big teaching hospital. Take the name to your GP and don't leave until you get the referral.

We are all very good souls on here but we are not doctors and no matter how many times you ask if anyone has experience of your husband's conditions, we can only advise and support. Your husband needs serious medical help.

I'm telling it like it is because I care.

Good luck. x

You could try ringing the BLF helpline for advice. The number is 03000 030 555 and they are open 9 - 5 from Monday to Friday.
