My appointment for today was 1.30pm, the nurse phoned and asked if I could go in about 11am, whilst it was a bit cooler. The room was cooled by a fan and patio door open so quite pleasant. A couple of other patients there, filling in forms which I duly did. The man before me did his walking test, I thought, he's good! (maybe showing off a bit). Then it was my turn and it was fine, I could have gone on for a lot longer but I was stopped about half way through as my oxygen level had dropped and it was slow to get back up again. I was quite disappointed as I was only feeling mildly breathless. The nurse said I had done well, 80metres. I don't know whether that is good or not. All the advise given to me by my friends here was 100% correct, there was nothing to worry about. Thank you. I start on the 10th July. Love to all Lilian xxxxxx

Lillian,Well done.i am glad you had a good experience and were treated with care and in a polite and professional manner.A very good and potentially encouraging example of how the system ought to operate.Regards mike x
Well done Lilian. Now you can look forward to your PR course with confidence. Good luck and enjoy! XXX
See Lilian all that worry (understandably) wasn't necessary! Good luck with PR I'm sure you will enjoy it. Xx
Glad it's worked out Lilian and hope you enjoy the course when the time comes.
Like the man you mention, I used to worry that people might be thinking I was showing off, as I could walk a lot faster than many of the others. But wouldn't it be awful if someone limited their activity because they were worried that people would be critical of them doing well? After all we are all there to be the best we can individually possibly be. Lucky guy I'd say, but the other hand if he was being boastful then he deserves a slap
