Six1
It's FEV1 Six, and it stands for forced expiratory volume in one second, i.e. all the air you can blow out in one second. Grinding teeth?? Bit early in the morning for me
O2Trees 😄so that's blowing in the peak flow meter as they call it in the US if anyone knows anything about grinding teeth let me know or do I just have a bad habit Thanks O2Trees
No it's not blowing into the peak flow meter Six - that's for measuring asthma. Fev1 is part of 'spirometry' which is for COPD and you blow into a thing called a spirometer.
Talk to your dentist about grinding teeth as that can damage them.
I don't grind my teeth, but I do catch myself rapidly clicking my teeth together at times. Quite odd.
FEV is Forced Expiratory Volume - the Volume of air you can Forcibly blow out from fully inflated lungs. As O2 says,Fev1 is the amount in 1 second; but there is Fev 6, for example, in 6 seconds & Fev12.
Bruxism is teeth grinding. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruxism
