It's FEV1 Six, and it stands for forced expiratory volume in one second, i.e. all the air you can blow out in one second. Grinding teeth?? Bit early in the morning for me ;)

No it's not blowing into the peak flow meter Six - that's for measuring asthma. Fev1 is part of 'spirometry' which is for COPD and you blow into a thing called a spirometer.

Talk to your dentist about grinding teeth as that can damage them.

A lot of people say they grind their teeth-I think it's during sleep -it's due to stress mostly from what I understand.

I don't grind my teeth, but I do catch myself rapidly clicking my teeth together at times. Quite odd.

FEV is Forced Expiratory Volume - the Volume of air you can Forcibly blow out from fully inflated lungs. As O2 says,Fev1 is the amount in 1 second; but there is Fev 6, for example, in 6 seconds & Fev12.

Bruxism is teeth grinding. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruxism
