Morning all, it's with a huge heavy heart that after 18 months of constant struggle my dad finally lost his battle this morning. My family and myself are beside ourselfs with devastation. But get comfort for the fact he's no longer suffering.
I'd like to thank this group for being there when I had any queries or questions.
I hope everyone has a healthy merry Christmas and new year.
Melissa White.

Dear Melissa,
I'm so sad for you. I think you and your Dad were very close. It's hard to let go of a loving parent. I think your family will help see you through this bad time. Here's my hand.

Hi Melissa, such sad news, and at this time of year, makes it even worse; i was reading through some of your posts, your dad was very young; my partner has early stage Emphysema/COPD. A hideous illness; as you say, take some small comfort from the fact he is no longer suffering. warmest of blessings sent to you and your family.
I am so very sorry for you, it is devastating losing your Dad & made all the worse by the time of year. He could not have asked for a better daughter & I am sure he derived great comfort from you. Take care & be kind to yourself. Penny xx
I'm so sorry for your loss, Melissa. It's very sad but I'm sure your dad was comforted by your love and care. My sympathies to you and your family. Be gentle with yourselves and try to remember some of the many better times with your dad. Sue xxx
I am so sorry to hear your sad news Melissa. No matter how expected this outcome is, it is always devastating when the time comes, but you are right - for your dad the struggle is over and he is at peace, which is a comfort.
You couldn't have done more for your dad in the last 18 months and he was so lucky to have your loving care and concern. I'm sure you have lots of happy memories of him which will help you through this, and I hope those happy memories will help you and your family to comfort and support each other through this sad time.
