Hi gbhill, normally when O2 goes down the heart rate goes up as it tries to pump more oxygen into the blood. Seems a bit strange to me and I would recommend you get it checked out with your GP.
Regards John
My heart rate gets pretty low at rest. The lowest I have seen it was 44. My Mom is the same way as is my brother's daughter. We have been checked and have been told it is normal for us. My O2 may drop a little but not too much so perhaps the low heart rate delivers less O2. Doctors seem concerned when they see the heart rate that low but after having been checked out they seem fine with it but if your O2 is dropping it is certainly best to have it checked out as that low of a heart rate is not "normal" for most people. It is possible it may be normal for you but on the other hand may be a sign of problems so best to be checked.
Thanks will do x
gbhill,
G'day' Is this happening at rest(Sitting),standing, walking,reclining?
Are you on meds for High blood pressure? This can slow the heart down.
Normal BPM is 78
If it is of a concern to you please see your Dr, as He/she is the only who can answer your questions.
The norm is when your o2 levels drop the pulse increases as the heart tries to pump o2 thru your lungs.
