I have a litter of AKC miniature Dachshunds every so often so that I will have one or two to show - I have to sell some as pets - I sold two of these to really good homes - still have three - my friend gets one and I will keep two.  I am always sure that my puppies get the best homes or I won't let them go. 

   The mother is a smooth and the sire is a Ch wire haired Dachs.  I breed a smooth to a wire to get good harsh coats. ( In UK I don't think you can cross coats. ) 

   Yes it is hard to let them go - but taking care of two is easier than taking care of five.

I adore Dachshunds. Wish I could have one, but they are very expensive and then there is the insurance. Shame, as George really likes Dachshunds.
