I get lots of infections and each one leaves me totally drained and each one takes longer for me to get back to normal (at least reasonably) so don't be surprised that you feel a bit drained...try and take it easy and don't worry :)

Hi Kay, My last infection was in December, I sent my sample to the doctors and began my emergency meds, saw the doc who was happy for me to have a second emergency pack as I was going on holiday and told me to take care and enjoy the sunshine. I went to Tenerife but unfortunately my asthma did not improve but I carried on with the meds and with plenty of rest I felt better apart from the breathing problem. On my return I was called into the docs office and she explained that the reason my asthma had been so bad was the infection I had been suffering from was a really bad one and I probably would be still feeling ill for the next 10 days or so. I was so glad I had sent the sample to the lab at the beginning of the infection and that the infection had been nipped in the bud and I hadn't ended up in hospital with pneumonia. So all in all I was ill and feeling very shaky for a least 3 weeks. Hope you are feeling better soon Kay. I guess with lung disease we should learn patience. Bye for now and take care of yourself.
