hi ya sonia, i am 53 years old, i am what u call terminal, i really have to fight for breath, like most of the guys here, when you get a prof telling u there is nothing more can be done for me, advice is kinda hopeless, if ur wanting to know more just ask, dont be shy....i am ok with my illness now, i am no longer afraid. oh sure there is times i wish when i go to sleep i dont wake up, i refuse to let it get me down, its a very painful disease, its there 24 hours a day i take tramadol 2 4 times a day it helps a little, cant take morphine, hope that helps a little....davey...xx

i think people are just confused about you saying your new when you have used your login details from may 2013 or you would have had to open a new account but you say you cant remember joining

Let me assure you that Mandy has not got it in for you. She was merely questioning your statements about being a newbie, and found it odd as a number of us do, that you say you cannot remember joining last year, and yet posted under the same user name, password etc. In that time the site has been revamped as well, so its just puzzling how you cannot remember any of your activity or joining at all. That's all it is.

Tigger, ( not tigg) didn't misunderstand your post, she was asking why you were saying Mandy really had it in for you, when all Mandy was doing was raising a perfectly valid point.

I am not being flippant here, you have outlined your condition, but I was wondering if you had any other condition which could cause memory problems. There are a few reasons why people have memory problems, as I have memory problems too, so know all about them. I have volunteered to be part of an asthma study group, but had no recollection of doing so until contacted by phone, and then I checked back, and realised I had done it. There was a trail there you see talktalk, which is why I am wondering why your memory wasn't jogged when you posted the other day.

Please don't get me wrong, as everyone knows this site is for everyone, and it doesn't matter one bit how often they post or not. We are a caring and supportive forum for those who need it. However this forum has had its share of trolls and spammers in the past, and I am in no way saying you are one, but that is why people are " a bit nervy " when someone arrives, says they are new, and it is obvious they are not. That's all it is, because of what happened before. Also, you were very defensive which raised a few eyebrows. I hope you forgive my bluntness, just trying to clarify things for you.

I wish you better health, easier breathing and less pain.

We all know about lung disease here, some more than others unfortunately, and if you have asbesteosis poisoning I am truly sorry.

How on earth did you pick that up, at your relatively young age, if you don't mind me asking?

wow i guess i asked for that, i was never out to confuse or upset people, i still say i cant remember joining in 2013, but thats in the past now, as for having asbestosis, i was a painter/ decorator, and did more artexing than anything else, and i am sure you will know artex had asbestos mixed in with the powder, i didnt find that out till recently so thats what the doctors think i caught it. i have had mrsi scans, cat scans, i have home oxygen, nebuliser machine, if you want to know anymore just ask, i will gladly send you photos and proof if your want that. have a great day bye...davey..

I wasn't telling you off! Just trying to clarify the situation for you.

The artex would certainly cause a lot of damage, I remember it well when growing up.

As I said, this site is for everyone, who needs support, help, advice, a bit of humour or some company, and there is no need to send photographs as that would be insulting to you, and that is not our intention at all.

I am sorry you are so sick, and hope you find life a bit easier soon.

We all need and enjoy a good laugh too, often humour is the only outlet we have.

hi ya tigg, i have asbestois poisoning, my lungs are a real mess, but i am a happy go lucky guy, full of fun and cheeky with it, i love a good laugh, a good listener, i get on with most people, i dont get out much these last few weeks, i liked going to the local pub just for the banter, also they treated me as one of the guys, that was so important to me, you see tigg what we are suffering from no one can see, its a hidden painful disease. having someone close who understands what your going through is a god send. i hope you have a good night, be happy, bye....davey...xx
