Lighter oxygen .... brilliant development on it's way.

Hellfire, this looks damn brilliant for those of us on oxygen. Current problem we all face is the tanks are heavy & heavy requires muscle & puff, something we lack. My oxy nurse once joked that 25% of the oxygen in a tank is used up just by us carrying the tank, a joke maybe, but pretty near the truth.

This new sci-fi gizmo will completely eliminate that problem & give us the opportunity to carry many more hours or even days of oxygen around with us, possibly even in our pockets.

..... My one question ..... WHEN

Bloody brilliant.....about time this country kept up with swiz n Germany. I get my own for a top up light as a feather portable,I only use it when I'm bad ,also when I have lung attacks it brings me back gentle ,instead of ringing 111. I can't have oxy yet as my oxy app.3min. I could walk it was ok as their meter is set at 4 digits higher....lol.redickules.

YES, the UK desperatly needs to catch up.

I'm a never smoked Alpha-1 .... my COPD is generic, basically my body doesn't produce a particular protein essential for keeping the lungs healthy.

In America & some European countries I'd be given regular protein infusions which would greatly improve my lung-function & quality of life.

Not here in Blighty though ..... more a case of grit your teeth, stop winging & get on with it.

very interesting thank you - but I think it will be awhile before they can develop it for our use due to our needing the oxygen released at a certain regular pressure etc. Great new though in the long term. Thank you xx

Fortunately,out-for-lunch, when I was on oxygen, I had a trolley. But the only way I could get to the gym was with a volunteer driver.

The same is true for computer towers. I had to take my computer to the repair shop. Fortunately again, a friend came with a trolley and weeled it to his car. I took it to the repair shop. the woman repaired it and borught it back.

another friend who saw me, told me that this tower was massive. he has a very smaller "tower". I asked at the shop. the lady showed me a smaller kind of tower which was the size of a big book that you could carry under your arm. it contained the same slots and had the same pwerful engine inside.

Another friend went to Austria. he is an organsit. He put in his luggage and MP£ to record the organs he was playing on. The memory car is as samll as your thumb nail.

I heard about a product (forgot the name) which is one atom thick! Yes, the future is small.

(I don't know if we will eat less though!) Cheers, Mic.
