Hi, I Use a Pari boy nebuliser when I travel. You need to make sure you get a nebuliser that suits the medication I.e. Either a compressor or ultrasonic type. I nebulise 4 times a day using 3 different drugs each time, so the nebuliser needs to be quite robust. I've had it for 4 years now and it has given me no problems. It is expensive but well built and the filter is easy to get and replace. I could use the nebuliser cup tubes etc supplied by my respiratory nurses with it but choose to use Pari's own.

One charge will do about an hours treatment. Have a look at Evergreen Nebulisers for info about different ones available.

Thank you, I have tried on eBay and Amazon but I can't find one with a battery back up, and that runs from a 12v car ? Can you give me specific details? Ta

Try Maplins for a reasonable priced one that would meet your requirements. however the battery,if needed, adds considerably to total cost. Sorry I dont remember price details .

Lidl and Aldi bring them out now and again. Quite cheap too. I can't remember which one but one of them works from mains, 12v and battery. Small and portable.

the one from Maplins is the Poly Green unit. They're a good little unit .... I've met a lot of people who use them on extended european trips in motorhomes & caravans.

Here's the Maplin Link

Here's an ebay link - same product, £10 cheaper.

The Polygreen portable nebuliser is available from Maplins and is an excellent piece of kit. Made in Germany rather than China, very quiet and very lightweight. Comes with carry bag plus spare masks, chambers etc. It runs off mains and 12v car cigar lighter. It is sold for £49-99 under part number L31AL.

If you want the extra flexibility a separate battery pack is sold for £24-99 under part number N51FT.

A full range of accessories and consumables are also available. I've had mine for 2 years and I'd recommend it.

Hi Cleee,

I bought a Phillips Respironics Micro Elite portable machine which runs off of a battery, in the pack you get a 12v car charger, multi country electric plug (make it up yourself) for charging only, battery, nebuliser unit with nebuliser liquid cup, mouth piece and tubing with a carry bag . You can only use it with the battery, but I have found that you can usually get two sessions before having to recharge. You can also buy spare cups, mouth pieces and tubing.

Have had it about 7 months now and it's been fine for me I have a mains run nebuliser for home - so this is fine for weekends and journeys.

Try here to have a look respironicsonline.co.uk/ and make sure to flag up that it's vat exempt. Cost about £99.00.

Cheers,

Sue

Firework, hi Cleese try the pharmacist, they usually have a booklet with all the different nebulisers in and you can order one through the pharmacist, good luck.
