Hi Dawn I saw your post earlier, and was hoping someone who knew about your condition would reply, but as no one has 'yet' then I thought I would say Hi. although I have no info on your condition so no help at all really

Can you tell us more of your symptoms etc? is it like COPD ?

I hope one of our more learned posters come on soon to help you, but I wanted to let you know that we are here with you, but perhaps no able to help

Love Sohara

Hi dawn,

Not sure if you mean a collapsed lung (Pneumothorax). If you do, then yes, I had one following a lung biopsy 12 months ago. I don't have COPD, but have Extrinsic Allergic Alveolitis, and once recovered from the collapsed lung, have to admit I did notice that my breathing had got worse. Also still get lots of aching around the muscle area, but this I'm sure is to do with having a chest drain in. Hope you start to feel better soon.

Take care

Jean :-)

Hi Dawn, Pete has had sarcoid for almost 23 years and he also had a collapsed lung once during a biopsy. He did recover thankfully but it was a very scary time. Pete also has COPD. If I have not answered your question then please let me know as I have some knowledge of sarc because of being carer for Pete. Take care. xxxx

The situation with myself is the pnerothorax was caused by my chest infection and no tubes were used to inflate my lung because my lungs are so scared. Thanks for replying
