Well done you. I need to lose weight too. My dad has severe COPD, aged 87, and he is grossly underweight, I have moderate/severe COPD and need to lose a couple of stone. I want to do it mostly by exercise, easy when well, but I do find it hard when I get infections. Every couple of months I just flop for 3 to 4 weeks when have infections.

Hey Sohara I bet you could do more than you think your a determined lady. I got my treadmill because of this forum never thinking I could really use it. I thought I'll have a go and if it's not ok for me I'll sell it but I've only had it a week and I'm sure I'm going to keep it. Xxx

I'm ordering a exercise bike tomorrow, has to be a fold-up as I live in a small bungalow, but if I can only do five minutes at first at least it is a start. Going to get hubby on it too, (not at the same time, my names not Daisy! Keep smiling

Swimming Steph is the very best exercise you can have I think, as it exercises every part of the body

To be able to swim 45 lengths you lungs cannot be toooooooo bad , some people would struggle to WALK 45 lengths of the pool

I did think of a treadmill, but a friend gave me a 'stepper' machine which is MUCH smaller and I feel the exercise is 'slightly' harder, but so far I can only do 10 mins on it before having to stop...but I am working up..when I first got it it was only 3 mins :) :)

Lots of love Sohara
