No difference at all tina - chronic obstructive PULMONARY disease used to be called
chronic obstructive AIRWAYS disease. Different health practitioners use different terms.
Difference countries use different terms, also.
What is your diagnosis in 2014 - ~COBD or CGTGOD
chronic obstructive breathing diseas or maybe cant get the gist of diagnosis
It is confusing though when medical professional use different terms to describe same illness.

It's not another illness, just another name for COPD. Some also call it COLD (Chronic obstructive lung disease) but, as O2Trees said, they are all the same.
Never heard of COLD, other than when the auto-correct turns my copd to cold - this happens in word, but mods seem to have sorted it here
I found it when I was first diagnosed and turned to wikipedia for help and information. "Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), also known as chronic obstructive lung disease (COLD), and chronic obstructive airway disease (COAD)...."
Oh thank you very much my gp dusnt no wat copd is the nurse got me a comunity nurse she got lung rehab im so glad its another way of puttin it i no bout the umbrella but mvr seen coad b4
No wonder newly diagnosed patients get confused and scared.
you think you have one thing wrong with you only to have all these names thrown at you.
