Thank you for your reply.

Yes it seems worse when I have not done physio.

Also when wind takes my breath away feel as though it will be my last breath.

Excellent advice from flibberti. Try not to worry about the future with bronch. I have had it for 60+ years and am still here!!! Lived a happy and fulfilling life. x

Hi all

I have also been diagnosed with bronchiectasis after pneumonia earlier this year I have always had asthma which has always been under control but since the pneumonia and the damage caused throughout both my lungs I get exasperations which I find can be quite frightening on top of the bronchiectasis. I am now under a chest specialist and on a cocktail of drugs and have started chest physio too and they seem to be getting it under control at last. I also start pulmonary rehabilitation in the new year to help me with exercise as this is the one thing I miss doing the most.

Like you i have found the condition scary And hard to accept at first due to the severity of the breathlessness and fear of losing my job which all got me down, but I am feeling more positive of late and your posts have given me more confidence. I would like to stay in touch with fellow sufferers for advice and support.

Hi Joolz, Im very glad they're helping you at last.

If there's one thing most people have learnt it's that we have to be pro-active in getting support from medics.

Well done for finding the BLF. A warm welcome to you.

I dont have bronch but many others here do.

All the best to you, peeg
