Thank you for posting this Jambo. It is so sad for him and his family .. My heart goes out to them I can not imagine the pain and suffering they are going through Such a young man and a needless waste of life. I will keep him and his family and friends in my prayers. How good to see that people have rushed to donate to Help the Heroes charity in his memory.
Lovely words Julie.Xx
We lose the good and save the bad, R.I.P soldier, husband, daddy
My grandson is in the army I am so fearful for him and can feel the pain of this lads family, like him all James ever wanted to do was be in the army. Please god support our troops against this evil.
My heart goes out to you exblonde. I can not imagine how worrying it must be to live with a member in the armed forces. I will keep your grandson James in my prayers if I may ? and wish all our troops the very best of luck and my best wishes. I for one will be donating to Help the Heroes in Lee Rigbys memory Julie x x x x
Thank you Julie I will welcome your prayers. James is the grandson who's wedding I attended last month. He is stationed at Hereford and at the moment on standby for duty. We should be very proud of our millitary they are the best in the world. Bless you for your concern. xxx
Thanks for good post Jambo all my condolences
My heart goes out to the family of a young man to be proud of. The sheer brutality is so hard to comprehend.
Very sad,my heart goes out to all his family. Its almost unbearable to think about.I think the world is going mad.Thank goodness, one does still read of good & brave deeds being done at times,to balance it out,if that's the right words?
I do hope the right punishment will be metered out though, death would be to easy for them, jail to soft & taxpayers paying for it! Maybe deport them, for life in jail,in Nigeria.
Prayers for all the family. Such a young life to be taken so young.
The two men who did this dispicable thing to Drummer Lee Rigby do a disservice to their race and to their religion.
As Wendells said, I hope that when they are convicted they are deported to Nigeria - but I doubt they will be.
We have freedom of speech in this country thanks to the service of people like my father, my husband, my brother, my brother in law and even me who all served in the RN. If anyone does not like what we do in this country then they are free to speak out - they are not free to murder!!!
I am very, very, angry that this young man was murdered and in such a horrific way.
I sometimes wonder whether these people have a grasp of what is right and what is wrong.
My loved ones survived WWII, the Falklands and other conflicts so I am very lucky.
What the family of Lee Rigby are going through I cannot imagine. I hope that in time they manage to find peace.

I know how you feel,ex army myself and I find this so annoying that a young lad with good prospects can be taken in this manner,I spoke to my father last night,89 years old,an ex para, still wears his blazer with pride daily, never missed a remembrance Sunday as I can recall.he cried on the phone to me talking about it.
Heartbreaking

Amazing to hear on the news that over £600,000 has been raised for Help the Heroes Charity in lee Rigbys memory and the website has crashed with people wanting to buy merchandise and donate, this will help many of his wounded comrades for many years to come A fitting tribute to this very brave young man. I can't believe it myself, amazing. What a shame it takes such a tragic event to make people notice what these brave guys have to go through.being a soldier s 24/7, doing things you don't want to do,but have to do it.no questions asked.i always wear my veterans badge with pride.
