Hi, I dont have IPF its COPD i tried serrapeptase when first diagnosed spoke to my Doc about them she said if they did not do any good not to waste my money.....i did feel better for a while but soon found they were not doing any thing really so stopped them as they are expensive, they do get a good write up for inflamation .guess its trial and error what helps some does not help others.

thanks for your reply and sorry on delay of answering. I am very grateful for your comments. As the NHS does seem to have no real answer to IPF I have been looking to alternative help for my wife.now 3 years into this horrible illness. A course offered by a company called Pivotal health with claims of some success is very expensive hence me hoping someone would know anything about it.

Hi, yes I have for my husband who suffers with COPD and for myself - with my horrendous hay fever. I have been really careful serrapeptase from reputable sources and there has definitely been a difference is the quality of some. For my husband it seriously reduces his coughing and he can really tell when he doesn't take it. For me - it is the only remedy that works for my hay fever (as it is a fantastic anti-inflammatory - I found out that it is used in Germany and has been for many years in hospitals pre and post surgery to reduce inflammation). However it does not reduce infections - my husband still gets colds from time to time. etc. For us it works - but I would agree with primrose71 - it is trial and error. TAD xx

Thank you for your reply. My reason for asking is that I tried this last year for my wife suffering now for 3 years with this chronic illness. Over a 3 month period of 3x3 daily Serrapeptase tablets, according to her consultant, there was an no change of her breathing results. However they had never heard of this tablet. Strange as you know it was and still is used in Germany. I hoped that someone might have tried this and I am very pleased with your reply and hope your husband continues to get some relief.By the way I have been using the non enteric coating version of this enzyme...but don't know if that is the most healthy.
