Increased fostsair

Have just had my fostsair 100/6 increased to 200/6. Unfortunately my pharmacy cannot get a stock of 200/6 and has given me 2 100/6 to use 8 puffs a day. Should I do 4 puff twice a day or 2 puffs 4 times a day.

Would if I cold get through to them. Not answering phone and I can't leave the house to get there

My friend does that as that four puff's 2 a day. But I adviced one then breath and repeat until the doses is done to stop any coughing that might happen

Everyone should do that regardless of inhaler or number of puffs. Pressing one after the other, with or without a spacer, is really ineffective.

I use a spacer and so does my friend but she suffered a coughing fit so I adviced her how she can avoid a coughing fit and it is the same way I advised you

Hold on. This isn't right on any level as the level of the long acting bronchidilator in both 100/6 & 200/6 are the same so you can't double the prescribed dose safely. The pharmacy must obtain the correct meds and has ways of doing that. Otherwise they should return your prescription so you can go elsewhere.

And you can check with the manufacturer if they have stock available which means that the pharmacy can obtain it.

I had the same problem. My pharmacist told me to use the same dose until a new one came in. My doctor told me to do 2 puffs 3 times a day. I would ring your doctor and ask for advice.
