Steroid card
The school should have some sort of pastoral team who will have overall responsibility for individual healthcare plans. The contact names will usually be on the school website, but if not, a call to their business manager or senior admin should point you quickly to the right person. If you ask them, they will advise on what your options are.
I can't speak for every school, but it's common practice to have photos of kids with specific health issues in the staff room along with their particular needs & things to do/avoid/emergency action, etc.
A Bracelet, Medalion or Card with something like Asthmatic / Steroid User is a good idea. Some Smart Phones (e.g. iPhones) will also flag-up critical health data to a Medic without the need for that person to first enter the phones’ passcode. (Obviously, the Health Data has to have been entered earlier by the Phone Owner / User).
Having some kind of alert like those mentioned above can be a life saver, not only in the event of an Asthma Attack, but also any event (like an accident) where it’s often critical for medics to be aware that Steroids are being used.
