New to asthma in my 3 year old

We think my 3.5 year old has developed asthma...just wondered if anyone has any advice do's and dont's etc as neither me or my husband suffer from it, it is all a bit new to us.

It would be very complicated and probable not very useful for me to give you a list of dos and donts.

However on the asthma uk homepage on the right there is a link capped just diagnosed. Also the top bar link called all about asthma has lots of useful info. You can also give the asthma uk adviceline a ring the nurses are lovely and very helpful.

I must be daunting to have a young child with asthma. The list of dos and don'ts is different from person to person. As Rose suggests it's a good idea to have a look at the all about asthma section at the top of the page. all the best to the three of you. x

you cant really give you a list of do's and donts as it varies from each child.. i know my son was diagnosed at 3yrs old, many moons ago, hes 19 now!!

you do get into a routine with everything, and before you know it, it becomes second nature..

as hannahrose says, you can ring the advice line for advice, or you can always ring and speak to the asthma nurse at the drs surgery.. its all very scarey at first, but you do get there in the end..
