Seeing the useless GP this evening.

After the debacle of last Tuesday, I am visiting the idiot of a GP who I saw last week tonight, armed with the peak flow diary he told me to take. I wonder what he comes up with today. I HATE seeing that GP. I always get treated to his philosophy on life, which drives me insane.

I know my body. I know how it feels when my breathing is normal. I know when things are not right, I can feel it now. I can tell it's wrong. Will he listen? Watch this space...

Good luck, I have the same problem with my GP and as you say you know your body better than anyone and if you are anything like me my peak flow chart means nothing to the way I am feeling. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you xxxx

Thanks. He was just such an A**E (to put it mildly!)

I dread to think what he's going to tell me tonight. I'm sorry you have so much trouble with your GP too. It's so annoying. There are several good GPs at the practice, several that I am happy seeing and that I trust. But because he was the duty dr when I couldn't breathe last night it is him who I am seeing tonight.

Ugh.

Piglet ,

good luck dont let them fob you off.

hope you have a asthma nurse at your docs, they are better to see and have more

time for you xxx

A very pleasant surprise! He looked at the pf chart i gave him and came to the conclusion that: 1. I have asthma (had this not already been established?); 2. It is poorly controlled and 3. I need to try new meds. So i am now on seratide. My current favourite thing about it is that it is purple! I really hope it works. I feel a little guilty for calling him an a**e!
