Does anyone else get...?

Hi, I have mild asthma, bad enough to make things uncomfortable most days. When I'm wheezy,or just before I have an attack, I almost always have nausea, and often shooting pain in my upper chest. This last often occurs quite randomly, there seems to be no fixed pattern to it. Is this normal, because I have no heart problewms that I'm aware of.

Anyway,thanks for your help

Hi - if you're uncomfortable most days, it sounds like your asthma isn't as well controlled as it could be. I think it would be advisable to see your GP for a review and you could mention these symptoms then. I get chest pain when I'm very bad, particularly when I'm struggling to exhale and trying to take more air into already full lungs.

I don't have asthma most days, perhaps twice a week in a bad patch. But when I do get it, I get the symptoms mentioned above.

Twice a week can still be considered ""too much"" considering you're only on a low amount of medication. See your GP, as there are other meds you could be tried on to get your asthma under even better control.

I guess everyones body has its own signs of telling you when something is up. I dont get nausea but when I have an attack, i get rather wheezy and will have a barking cough. Also I have a complete disinterest in ANYTHING and will be very quiet.
