Porta Caths

hi All,

i have not had a port for a long time and i know some of you have them or have had them,

after having my leg cannulated on sunday i am thinking maybe it ios now time to rethink the whole port idea,

i dont need continuous therapy like some, but have attacks probably monthly,

as some may know i am a keen canoeist, so hickman type lines and vascaths are not an option.

I have had blocked veins in the past and wondered if there are any tests they can do to assess their patency.?

i would be greatfull for any help and advise before going back to cons,
