Tree Pollen seems early this year

yes not sure if it’s all the damp air and moulds from so much rain?

Oh I thought it was just me. I find the Kleenex pollen app/site useful as it can get very localised and tells you specifically which kind of tree/grass/weed pollen is highest. Helps me to get an idea of what I might be reacting to.

Thanks I'd not come across that website. I seem to wake up with a slightly tight chest on sunny days. Can't wait 'till the birch season - we are surrounded by birch trees!! 🤣

I did wonder why I am getting breathless, didn’t connect it to early pollen.

Here in Europe nothing yet, but it's colder than in the UK in the winter. Climate change is no joke.

My eyes have been itchy last couple of days. Saw some daffodils out so figured Spring has arrived, down south, already.

My Daffodils are in full bloom and I have been sneezing for weeks. I needed a steroid nasal spray then oral steroids for persistent cough.

Yesterday I had a tooth extracted and have taken a localised reaction. This includes urticaria and swelling. My mouth has dry on one side and I look like a Quasimodo that had a stroke.

I don’t normally have allergies.

Certainly since really the beginning of the year I’ve been more bunged up nasally and coughing more than usual.

I know so many people who have had this terrible cold with coughing and breathlessness for weeks at a time, me included. I have never known my asthma to be as bad and the same with an elderly friend. Also yesterday I met two people who had had this bug, not diagnosed asthmatics but have been given inhalers and steroids to assist their breathing. I didn’t even consider it being pollen related but will have a look to see if the levels are up, dubious as I’m in the North of Scotland 😆

I’m coughing more (cough-variant asthma), waking up with streaming nose and red, sore eyes. Not affected by pollen much - dust mite is my usual issue. Also, digestive tract issues worse (coeliac)
