Good afternoon - I just need some advice if possible -
My son is due to turn 18 soon and has a diagnoses of aspergers, he lives with his mum, her partner and my other daughter (14).
His mum has said for years she is going to kick him out when he turns 18 which is 3 weeks, he is unable to come and stay with me as we don’t have the room and 2 other children with extra special needs makes it impossible.
I just want to know what options he has if any, would the local council help him? He is very anxious and scared. And doesn’t know what to do.
Thanks for any advice
Steve

You need to go to the local council social services department, I would say urgently.
Having said that, I have doubts about whether they could get him housing in three weeks, so I'd also seek advice from the housing charity Shelter. I get the impression that the whole concept of being 'intentionally homeless' can be a bit of a football, so you might find their input valuable. See for example england.shelter.org.uk/prof....
