Hello and welcome,

This is the first shared space for gynaecological cancers.

We hope you find support, inspiration and useful information. We welcome your contributions whether you are worried about symptoms; on the pathway from diagnosis through treatment; have finished treatment; or a carer or friend. This is your space to share ideas, experiences and knowledge. We will also provide expert information from nurses, doctors and researchers and try to facilitate useful discussions.

We aspire to be an open and inclusive space where we:

•Support each other through the cancer pathway and beyond treatment

•Share ideas to maximise wellbeing in body and mind

•Welcome relevant information from any source – not just Eve

•Listen to your views and adapt the forum to meet your needs

•Create dialogue to inform services and research

•Collect themes across the gynaecological cancers and identify unmet needs

Gynaecological cancer covers everything uniquely female in the pelvis. The womb; neck of womb (cervix); the ovaries and their connection to the womb, the fallopian tubes; the vagina and her entrance, the vulva. There are similarities between them – but also differences.

So this forum will be a balancing act – making sure there’s something relevant for all. Also relieving the tough realities with posts that are inspirational, uplifting – even funny. Please do let us know how we’re doing and what you’d like to see. For starters, we’d love you to complete our super quick poll of your top three content choices.

Thank you for joining us, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts, ideas, questions and stories.

Thank you for the invitation.  Please why does a Gynae Cancer Forum have a male administrator?  Some women may feel more comfortable discussing vulvas and vaginas in an all-female group.

Hi Katarzyna,

Thank you for getting in touch with us here on the AskEve community - your ongoing support will be invaluable to others within the community.

We are hopeful that this community will be a platform to provide support and advice for women who have a personal experience of gynaecological cancers, as well as their friends and family members - so will be open to everyone to contribute.

The service itself, as well as the community will be run and responded to by a gynaecological cancer nurse specialist - so please be reassured that any issues will be handled sensitively and in the strictest of confidence.

All the best,

Wesley
